Need a few gift ideas for Father’s Day? Here are my top 3. In our household, #3 was a huge Christmas hit a couple years back, #1 we just couldn’t wait for an occasion to buy, and #2 is on my possibility list for this upcoming Father’s Day.
1. Chemex- because coffee is a more of a man thing in my house. I’m a hit or miss coffee connoisseur- although lately I’ve very much so been a hit. We have had our Chemex for a few months now and we love it. I love knowing that it’s clean! There are no parts of it that I can’t see or clean. They offer a few different sizes.
You may want to get a kettle to go along the Chemex, as the one I own, and recommend, needs water heated separately. I prefer enamel coated steel kettles. I’ve listed one with very high reviews- unfortunately often times companies forget to make the spout actually close. Crazy I know, but it’s true.
2. Lems Boulder Boots- because this may or not be my pick this year. Shh, don’t tell! FIND THEM HERE
3. Shave set- take them back to the good old days with a safety razor! That is, if you can’t convince them to grow a beard! They are cleaner and less expensive than the multi blade with gel strip options. The Art of Manliness is a great website to learn about shaving correctly.
And if I may, I’d like to share a proud Mommy moment concerning Father’s Day…
I love having a child old enough to have real input on gift ideas and special occasions! It’s so amazing hearing my almost four year old daughter’s ideas. She will take even the smallest of things and turn them into a something special! Like the other day she was playing a game where I gave her a ticket to travel. Within a few minutes of playing, she said, completely unprompted, that she wanted to give it to Daddy for Father’s Day. I had mentioned Father’s Day the day before, but we had already decided what our plans would be. She came up with this new idea all on her own!
I hope this post helps in your Father’s Day planning! And happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there!
